A Red Lion Inn wedding is always beautiful – there’s so much to love here! – but a layer of fluffy snow and it’s truly romantic! The covered walkways offer protection from the elements so photographs can still be taken outside and toes stay warm and dry. This couple’s december wedding had everything from snow to rain but the smiles never stopped! The girls got ready in the Salon right next to the main building, while the bridal suite belonged to the groom and his guys for the morning. One of the lovely things about a Red Lion Inn wedding is it is small and private, with enough rooms for the family and bridal party but a small enough property that it is intimate for the entire weekend. The ceremony was downtown in Cohasset, with a reception back at the Inn filled with candle light, red and cream flowers and shimmery pinecones. Bride and groom as well as bridal party photographs were taken outdoors while the rain and snow was happening in the afternoon. The Bridal party did come outside in the cold, but toes were kept warm under the overhangs of the walkways on the property. After an reception filled with dancing, we went outside for this image. At first the air was dry, then the snuggles started and it poured! These two went with it anyway and I love the results. This image was taken with a Nikon D800, back-lit by the light on the property and lit from the left by an off-camera flash (with grid). ISO 3200, F2.8, 1\/60. Not much was done in post-processing.
