<\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nThen it was back to the Manor to photograph the groom and get ready for the couple’s first look. A Lord Thompson Manor wedding is spectacular because of the grounds, of course, but really it’s because of the staff. While I was at the Cottage House, it began to rain. Short rain storm but hard. I suggested the first look happen on the driveway in front of the building instead of the mossy woods, as was the original plan, to protect her dress. Seeing the disappointment in Andrew’s eyes, Ted jumped up with this leaf blower and dried the moss, ground, and even blew the water dropping from the leaves away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nAfter the first look we spent time in and around the Manor for portraits of the couple. I wanted to make sure we captured the beauty both inside and outside. The images with dramatic light coming through a window or doorway give such a different feel than images outside in even natural light. I loved that the couple trusted me enough to follow my lead as we moved around.

<\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nNext we moved to the garden for the ceremony. A guitarist played on the balcony, and guests were seated surrounded by greenery. I made sure to include the incredible white rose arrangement over the couple in as many images as possible. It framed them so nicely!

<\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nA few more portraits during cocktail hour for Shelby and Andrew. Then, finally, it was time to eat and party! Guests enjoyed intimate seating throughout the Manor. Following dinner, guests gathered for dancing.
