Fine-art black and white newborn photography is a beautiful way to commemorate the newest member of your family. In those early weeks, newborns grow so quickly and having an image of them cradled in their parent's hands is a sweet way to remember how tiny they were.
I create these images in the comfort of your home, making the photo session easier for your newborn and parents. To achieve this image I create contrast by asking the client to wear black and then softly light the newborn with either window or off-camera continuous light. There is a lot of editing that goes into these images, from perfecting the contrast to taking a close look at the newborn skin and erasing any temporary imperfections (like scratches from their tiny nails, etc).
