This wedding image is all about the connection between the bride and groom. I love how he is leaning in towards her, their hands on each other's on her left hip, and the soft way she is holding the bouquet. The bouquet color and texture stand out against the layers and layers of stonework I intentionally placed in the foreground. That depth I created with the layers of stone draws the viewers eye immediately to the couple and the sweet moment they are sharing.
When I photograph any couple, I do take some traditional images that showcase the dress, details, and a camera-aware smile. However for most of your image collection, the goal is to show connection and authenticity between the couple. Pro tip: One of the best ways to achieve this is to make sure you are taking your portraits away from guests and lots of eyes watching you! The more comfortable you are, the more you will be paying attention to each other and not what's happening around you, resulting in better images.
